Marc-Antoine Pouliot is perhaps best known as the player who assisted on most of Sidney Crosby's tallies while the two were linemates in Rimouski.
This year, the rangy center is making his mark with Hamilton, where he along with another junior hockey legend, Corey Locke, give Hamilton a strong 1-2 scoring punch at center.
Unfortunately for Pouliot, he doesn't have a Crosby, or even a Dany Roussin, his left wing at Rimouski, to dish off to. Nonetheless, his progress has been steady in his first pro campaign, although the Edmonton Oilers no doubt would like to see him be more consistent in even strength settings.
He debuts in the Freshman 40s of the MLN FAB50 Hockey 2006 rankings at 46. We see him rising up the list in 2006-2007, with a few possible NHL looks if he can continue building consistency.
