This season he has shown no ill effects, hitting .349 with 7 HR, 51 RBI, and 19 doubles for the Visalia Oaks. Jeff also leads the California League with a .456 on-base- percentage. “He has a very polished approach,” says Colorado’s Director of Player Personnel, Bill Geivett. “He’s a special player and easily has a chance to be an all-star.” We look to see Jeff move forward in the Rockies farm system perhaps to AA during the remainder of the 2003 season, barring further injuries.
